Beyond the courses...
AORA aims to enhance the experience of participants enrolled in the Asia Open RAN Academy, and supplement learnings through enrichment activities.
Enrichment is an integral step in workforce development, taking what’s learned in the academic classroom setting and connecting with real-world experiences and opportunities.
Enrichment activities are attuned to AORA’s principles of…
- Community… which emphasizes the importance of engaging stakeholders in order to pool and develop talents, exchange knowledge, and share skills; and,
- Partnerships… which strengthen collaboration and synergies among multi-stakeholders from the academe, industry, professional organizations, non-profit organizations, government, and funding agencies working in the Indo-Pacific region.
Value Streams
Enrichment activities add value to AORA’s work, which are focused on four areas:
Workforce development needs to keep up with the rapid growth of ICT to ensure that workforce capacities and skill set meet the current market and innovation demands.
Technology Deployment. The industry are expected to lead technology deployment activities, with AORA fully supporting these deployment activities.
Technical and Policy Advocacy. An integral aspect of AORA’s work is to support and advocate policies aligned with Open RAN objectives.
