Asia Open RAN Academy visited Bohol to gain support and assess the area’s connectivity status.

The academy aims to enhance telemedicine efficiency and connect Danao, Bohol GIDAs with UP Manila-PGH as the initial blueprint for an Open RAN telemedicine solution.
We met the Doctors and Officials at Bingag Health Center in Dauis, Bohol Provincial Department of Health Office, and the Provincial Health Office. We explored collaborative efforts to enhance network infrastructure, which is crucial for reliable telehealth services.
We also discussed strategies to overcome connectivity challenges and support healthcare professionals in remote areas.
At Bohol Island State University, we met with the academic leader to strengthen the partnerships, foster local expertise, and ensure sustainable implementation of Open RAN technology.
These meetings are essential for building a collaborative network between local government and academia, ensuring the successful deployment of Open RAN solutions across Bohol.
Together, we are working towards bridging the digital divide and making telemedicine more efficient for all!
